------ Check Your Child's Social-Emotional Development ------

Young children gain and build on skills in emotional development as well as physical growth, abilities and skills. Attending to social emotional development at early ages can help parents support a child’s strengths as they grow.

What is the ASQ:SE?
The ASQ:SE is a tool for parents of young children to check their child's social emotional development. This information can inform parents of a possible behavior issue or can help reassure a parent that their child is progressing in a healthy way.

What is the purpose of the study?
The Early Intervention Program at the University of Oregon is currently undertaking a study of the normative data of the ASQ:SE to determine if the current scoring system and norms accurately reflect the abilities of today's young children.

How does it work?
Simply complete the brief consent and family information sections then fill out the age appropriate questionnaire for your child. After completing the questionnaire you can choose to receive your child's score results by email. Fun play activities for you and your child are available for download or you can receive hard copies by mail.

Fill out a simple survey to check your child's development.

If you have any difficulty in accessing or completing the questionnaires, please contact Kimberly Murphy at kamurphy@uoregon.edu or at 541.346.2580. If you have any questions regarding your rights as a research subject, please contact the Office of Human Subjects Compliance at the University of Oregon at 541.346.2510.
