The Early Intervention Program at the University of Oregon considers diversity to be a fundamental component of its mission to prepare future practitioners and leaders in the field of early intervention/early childhood special education, allowing them to be effective and sensitive when addressing the needs of diverse individuals as well as local, national and global communities. Respect for diversity is infused throughout the program--through recruitment and retention efforts aimed at attracting diverse students, faculty, staff and research project participants; the curriculum, training programs and research projects; and the promotion of an educational and social environment that welcomes, supports and values diversity among EI students, faculty and staff. A range of supports, services and accommodations is available for diverse and disabled individuals. Visit the Diversity Resources link on this page for more information. Heidi von Ravensberg, JD, MBA
